Chess Workshops and Camps

Strategic Minds Chess Workshops are themed, group-based training sessions led by experienced instructors—including chess experts, masters, and occasionally grandmasters. Each workshop focuses on a specific aspect of chess improvement, with topics that may include improving as an adult player, mastering key openings, endgame fundamentals, or developing stronger calculation skills.

 

Workshops are designed to provide deep, structured learning experiences that help players grow both strategically and practically. These events are often discounted for Premier Club Members (see the Club Membership
page for details), and prices vary by event—please check the event registration page for current offerings.

Our goal is to host one focused workshop every three months, with some workshops spanning multiple weeks to allow for progressive learning and personalized feedback.

Our Strategic Minds Chess Camps offer a fun, interactive environment where learning and play come together. Unlike workshops, which emphasize structured skill development, our camps focus on the joy of over-the-board play while still fostering meaningful chess improvement. Players participate in themed lessons, friendly competition, and rated games, blending instruction with excitement and community spirit.

 

Camps are typically designed for scholastic players, helping young minds grow through hands-on experience and guided play. However, we also host all-ages and adult-only chess camps from time to time—perfect for anyone looking to combine chess growth with a social and engaging experience.

Chess Lectures​

Strategic Minds Chess Lectures are one-time, focused events where strong players share their insights and expertise over the course of 1 to 3 hours. Each lecture offers an opportunity to learn from a diverse range of instructors, including local and international experts, masters, International Masters, and Grandmasters.

 

Lectures cover a variety of topics—from strategic principles and game analysis to preparation methods used by top players—and are designed to inspire improvement and deepen understanding for players of all levels.
