Unlike open events where everyone competes together, a Class Championship separates participants into rating-based sections — Open, Under 1600, and Under 1200 — allowing players to compete against opponents of similar strength. Registration Details This registration grants you entry into the rated Saturday Classic and includes the USCF rating submission fee, ensuring all games are officially rated. Please note that this entry fee does not cover United States Chess Federation (USCF) membership dues—an active membership is required to participate. While the club provides a limited number of loaner chess sets, clocks, pens, and score sheets, players are strongly encouraged to bring their own equipment whenever possible
